The Grand Teton Climb for Life

July 5-11, 2003
The Grand Teton Climb for Life took place July 5-11, 2003. This
week-long climbing event explored the majestic Teton Range in Grand Teton
National Park north of Jackson, WY.
The Grand Teton Climb for Life is rooted with a fundamental goal of raising
monies for ovarian cancer research and a wellness program for cancer
survivors. The climbing event is structured to provide its participants
with an empowering, challenging and rewarding experience that proactively
promotes and appreciates personal health and well-being in the out of doors.
The event provided an all-inclusive week of adventure and memories for the
team members. Specifically, it included:
- 6 nights lodging in a homey atmosphere just outside the park
- 3 nutritious meals a day
- 2 days of rock climbing instruction via Exum Mountain Guides - Basic &
Intermediate Classes
- a 2-day guided summit ascent of the Grand Teton (13,770¹) via Exum Mountain
Guides
- a whitewater rafting trip down the Snake River
- an acclimatization hike
- transportation during the week
- national park entrance
